— Bespoke Service —

Chesney’s can offer a specialist bespoke service for the design and manufacture of any fireplace in any material and on any scale, in both historical and contemporary styles.

Our bespoke department can produce a fireplace in any material, working from photographs, magazine cuttings, sketches or drawings. The successful production of a bespoke fire surround relies on a wealth of specialist skills; designer, draughtsman, clay modeller, architectural historian and finally, mason and carver. Our long established and experienced bespoke department harnesses all of these skills. The range of projects that we undertake is hugely varied and we are finding that an increasing number of clients, both private and commercial, want to commission individual pieces.

Our Bespoke Gallery contains a selection of chimneypieces carved by Chesney’s to order for clients. These commissions have ranged from the architecturally simple to the extravagantly carved and from the monumental to those of modest domestic scale. A wide variety of materials and masonry and carving techniques have been used to craft an extraordinarily rich and comprehensive portfolio of chimneypieces
