The condition of every chimneypiece and grate is marked by a meticulous approach to its conservation and any restoration work that has been undertaken is described in detail to a prospective buyer in a condition report.
Chesneys’ expertise in bringing antique fireplaces back to their original beauty stems from our early days, in which we dealt exclusively in the restoration and sale of antique fireplaces. Since then, the products and services we offer have expanded to include all manner of fireplaces, stoves, and BBQs, however our original passion for restoring antique fireplaces remains.
The diligence, dedication, and longstanding commitment to conservation that our team of craftspeople share ensures our rare collection of antique fireplaces contributes to the historic preservation of architecture through the ages.
Chesneys masons and restorers only use traditional methods in their restoration work to ensure that every piece retains its authenticity and is as close to its original appearance as possible. Much of the Chesneys collection is displayed on the website but new pieces are constantly being acquired and restored prior to cataloguing and photography.
Our chimneypieces are available for viewing at our Battersea premises by appointment only. Please contact us for further details or find a stockist.
