Tudor & Gothic Fireplaces

Our Collection of Tudor & Gothic Fireplaces

Tudor architecture was the final development of medieval architecture in England evolving from the late Gothic style. The examples in this collection include features from both periods. All have bold proportions, four-centred arched openings or perpendicular arches and display robust architectural form. Typically featuring broad lintels, substantial jambs and restrained ornamentation, their strength lies in their simplicity and heft. These fireplaces convey permanence, character and understated grandeur, making them equally suited to restoring period interiors or adding architectural depth to contemporary homes.
