Standard Guarantee
Thank you for choosing a CHESNEYS ALCHEMY bioethanol product. We design and engineer our burners to the highest standards to ensure safe, efficient, and beautiful heating solutions.
All ALCHEMY bioethanol appliances are supplied with a 2-year manufacturer’s guarantee, covering material and manufacturing defects.
Guarantee Duration
• 2-year manufacturer’s guarantee from:
• The date of dispatch (direct purchases from CHESNEYS)
• The date of installation or delivery (for appliances purchased via official Trade Stockists)
• Guarantee applies to purchasers in the UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, and Holland and is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Whats Covered
If your appliance develops a fault due to a manufacturing or material defect within the guarantee period, CHESNEYS will, at our discretion, repair or replace the faulty component or stove free of charge.
Exclusions to Guarantee
The guarantee does not cover:
• Damage from improper installation or use
• Use of non-approved fuel (e.g., non-bioethanol liquids, gels, or additives)
• Failure to follow operating instructions or maintenance guidance
• Surface corrosion due to humidity, condensation, or neglect
• External damage or discolouration from cleaning chemicals or abrasion
• Damage from overfilling, spillages, or misuse of the fuel system
• Use in outdoor or unprotected environments unless specified
• Normal wear and tear, scratches, minor dents or blemishes
Not covered – Serviceable Parts and Wear and Tear
• Gaskets, seals and caps
• Battery components (if applicable)
• Decorative or cosmetic elements (panels, paint finishes, etc)
Making a Claim
To make a warranty claim:
• Claims must be made by the original purchaser – Chesneys trade stockist or owner of the appliance if purchased directly from Chesneys
• Accompanied by proof of purchase and serial number
• Submitted via email to warranties@chesneys.co.uk with supporting photographs and/or video
• Notified within 28 days of fault discovery
CHESNEYS reserves the right to:
• Inspect the product
• Request servicing records
• Decide whether to repair or replace the affected part
Customer Responsibilities
• During the first year, CHESNEYS may cover removal and re-installation (at our discretion).
• After year one, all removal, transport, packaging, and reinstallation costs are the responsibility of the customer.
• Replacement parts under warranty are covered only for the remainder of the original guarantee period.
Eligibility Requirements
• The stove must be registered within 28 days of installation via our warranty portal
• The product must be annually serviced by a qualified professional
• Only valid for domestic use
• Must be purchased via CHESNEYS or an authorised stockist
• Non-transferable and only applies to the original purchaser
Legal and Statutory Rights
Nothing in this guarantee affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Liability for injury or damage caused by negligence is not excluded where prohibited by law. CHESNEYS’ liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods.
