Delivery & FAQs
Are Chesneys chimneypieces made from natural materials?
All of our chimneypieces are hand carved from real marble or real limestone. We do not use any lookalike or cast products of any description.
What is the lead-time for delivery?
Chesneys aim to hold stock of all reproduction fire surrounds at all times but many of the items in the range of fire baskets and register grates are made to order. Allowing for average lead times for the latter and rigorous quality control procedures on all products, delivery can generally be made within 4 – 6 weeks.
Is there a charge for delivery?
Local delivery is charged at £25.00 + VAT for all North, East, South and West London postcodes, £50.00 (excluding stoves) for non London postcodes inside the M25 and £75.00 (excluding stoves) for postcodes outside M25 within Chesneys territorial borders. Stove deliveries outside of London postcodes are priced on request. Deliveries elsewhere can be arranged using Chesneys recommended independent carriers. Unless specifically stated all deliveries are based on a kerbside service. Kerbside deliveries are carried out by one delivery operative in a tail-lift vehicle (where necessary) and are conducted on a ‘to the door/property’ basis only. Please contact our Sales staff for details of regional charges for specific items. Alternatively arrangements can be made by customers to use their own carriers or transport to collect from our central London warehouses in Battersea and Balham.
