Standing in his stunning garden in the village of Selborne in the South Downs one spring morning, Steve looked around him and contemplated the Flintstone that peppers this beautiful area of England. The concept that Flintstone has been known to Early Man for its unique property of producing the sparks to make fire, struck Steve with an ingenious design idea….if the Flintstone was sliced, veneered and polished to produce exquisite panels as only he could do, this material could be set within a simple architectural surround to create a breathtaking chimneypiece to surround the very element that it creates.
