Huntsmore designed and installed this fantastic Chesneys’ wood-burning stove as part of a full reconfiguration and refurbishment of a maisonette in Queen’s Park, London, NW6.
The property was in a tired state and was very impractical in terms of layout. Huntsmore fully reconfigured the property. An existing cast iron spiral staircase in the middle of the property being removed and a new staircase installed in a newly created hallway. This led into the impressive living room featured here. We took advantage of the property’s historic features, restoring the period coving and the original marble fire surround.
To complement the fireplace, we specified and installed Chesneys Shoreditch 8 Series Stove finished in Silver. To ensure compliance, Huntsmore co-ordinated for a HETAS qualified chimney sweep to line the existing flue, and once satisfied, install the wood- burner itself. The result is a real showpiece and focal point for the room. The heat output is magnificent and this serves to be a truly important feature in this traditional period property.
